eSIM for the Middle East

One package across the region, which is how these trips are usually built: a Gulf stopover, then somewhere with ruins in it. Install before you fly and it works from the first terminal.

Where it works

11 countries on one package. A few of them:

TürkiyeUAEBahrainEgyptIraqIsrael
Included countries
One data allowance for the whole package — use it in any mix of the 11 included countries. It is not per country.
When validity starts
Your package starts when your phone first connects to a network at the destination — not when you install it. Crossing a border does not restart it.
Entering another included country
Your phone picks up a partner network in the new country automatically — keep data roaming on for the onesim line. No settings to change and nothing to reinstall.
Outside the covered countries
The package does not connect. Your phone falls back to Wi-Fi or your home SIM if you allow it — check the list before you go, and look at another onesim package for uncovered stops.
Calls and texts
onesim is data-only. Calls and messages work over data in apps like WhatsApp or FaceTime; your usual SIM keeps your number.
Support and refunds
Message the onesim support team from the app or the website. If a package cannot be installed or used, the refund policy explains what applies. Refund policy
Route idea · Dubai, Jordan, Egypt

Three countries in two weeks.

The region done as most people actually do it: a stopover that earns its place, a week of desert and ruins, and a river. Short flights between each. The line below is an illustration, not a map.

Wooden abra ferries moored on Dubai Creek at sunset1

Dubai · Days 1–3

Worth stopping rather than passing through. The metro runs from inside the terminal, old Dubai and the creek abras cost almost nothing, and the fountain show is free. November to March; the summer is 45°C.

The rock-cut facade of the Treasury at Petra2

Jordan · Days 4–10

Petra over two days, a night in a Wadi Rum camp and a float in the Dead Sea. Buy the Jordan Pass before you fly: it waives the visa fee on a stay of two nights or more and includes Petra and forty other sites.

eSIM for Jordan
The pyramids at Giza3

Egypt · Days 11–14

Cairo for the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, which opened in November 2025 and holds the whole Tutankhamun collection for the first time. Book its timed slot before anything else.

How the plan fits this route

One eSIM and one allowance across all three, so a route with two short flights in it does not need three purchases. Check the country list before you plan around it: the plan covers a specific set of countries in the region rather than all of them, and the list on this page is what counts.

Guide: Jordan in a week
Before you go

Three things worth knowing across the region.

Rules differ sharply between neighbours. Alcohol is served in licensed venues in the UAE and Jordan and prohibited outright in Saudi Arabia; modest dress is expected almost everywhere and required in mosques; public behaviour that would pass unnoticed at home is treated more seriously here. Read the specific country rather than the region.

Seasons are the other constraint. November to March is the window for the Gulf, Jordan and Egypt alike; between May and September the Gulf passes 45°C and Luxor and Aswan become genuinely dangerous in the middle of the day. Ramadan shifts everything to after sunset and is a rewarding time to visit if you plan around it.

Coverage in the cities, along the main highways and at the major sites is strong. What thins out is the desert: Wadi Rum beyond the camps, the road to Abu Simbel, the Empty Quarter. Download the route before you leave the last city.

Open “See covered countries” and search each stop. The list is the authoritative source: if a country is on it, this package works there; if it is not, we point you to another onesim package if one covers it.
