Installing onesim

Step-by-step installation on your phone, before you travel.

Choose the language shown in your phone’s settings — it can differ from the language you read in. The onesim app follows your phone language where available (English, German, Turkish, Albanian). App labels in these steps are shown in your phone settings language.

  1. Stay on Wi-Fi and open your purchase

Install while you still have internet — at home or on Wi-Fi. Open the “Access your eSIM” link from your onesim email, or sign in to the onesim app. Installing does not start your package.

  2. Choose an installation method

On iPhone the quickest route is direct install from the onesim app: tap “Install eSIM”. From the website you can scan the QR code with another device's camera, or copy the manual details.

  3. Add the eSIM in your phone settings

If you are not using direct install: open “Settings” › “Cellular” › “Add eSIM”, then choose “Use QR Code” or “Enter Details Manually”. Paste the SM-DP+ address and activation code exactly as shown.

  4. Name the line and keep your home SIM as primary

When asked, label the new line “Travel” or “onesim”. Leave your usual SIM as “Primary” for calls and texts — onesim is data-only.

  5. Leave data roaming off until you land

Your package starts the first time the onesim line connects at your destination. Keep “Data Roaming” off for the onesim line until you arrive, then follow “Connecting when you arrive”.

Advancing through these steps doesn’t confirm anything on your phone — check the line appears in your settings.
